Grayson's 1st Birthday

Saturday was our nephew's birthday! Our nephews are all so cute that I take a bunch of pictures of them. I thought I'd share some of my favorites from the day. The theme was Sesame Street but the focus was on Elmo and Cookie Monster. It was such a cute idea! The birthday boy was sick on his birthday but he still did pretty good.

Kristy made the Sesame Street sign with Grayson's name on it. She made a lot of the decorations which had to take forever but it paid off!

 Love these cupcakes!

 Birthday boy :)

The family opening gifts.

 Cake time!

Another one of my adorable nephews

 Uncle boo with Grayson...too cute!

We ended the day with a family picture. I think it turned out pretty well.

For those of you who don't know, Curt and I are moving. Curt got a job in Kentland working for S&S Plastic and I will be working at Rensselaer Swine Services for my parents. We found a house in Morocco and the sellers accepted our offer!! Pray that everything goes well during the closing. I will post pictures once I know for sure that it is ours. :)

Golfing

Curt and I finally got to go golfing again. I think its been an eternity since the last time we played. Last Friday I had a half day at work so we decided to spend some time with each other out on a golf course. We both did pretty terrible, but we had a lot of fun together. It was nice to get out and do something. I hope we get to go out again before it gets super cold, but there is always next summer!

I'm getting better at taking our picture on my good camera. Its definitely a lot larger to hold and maneuver than the small camera I use to have....I'm not complaining though!

I had to get a picture with my pink bag in it somewhere. It's too cute not to be in a photo.

 Posed just in time!

My putting needs a little practice again. :)

 Happy with his shot.

Time to hit over the 5th creek or so during this course. I wasn't a fan of all the ponds and creeks....

My turn to attempt to hit over it!

Looks good Curt!

Brandon's Birthday

On September 1st we celebrated Brandon's 30th birthday. Instead of the typical "your getting older party" they had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed party. We enjoyed each others company, some outdoor games, and the pool.

Of course a get together with the Pogue's always includes music.

I almost got a picture of him with his mask on.

Posing for the camera

 Uncle Bam Bam and Grayson

Aww a Mutant Ninja Turtle couple

 Blowing out the candles

Colton decided he wanted to help unwrap Uncle Bam Bam's gifts with him.

 Corn hole begins!

While the yard games were being played I had a photoshoot with Grayson. Daisy decided she wanted to be apart of it as well.

I don't think these kids take a bad picture so I thought this would be a good way to see more of them. :)

The guitar made another appearance but this time Grayson helped play.

Colton golfing in the house. One day he may have to go out with his Uncle Boo and Aunt Krenra.

Family Vacation: Cincinnati

On August 15-17th Curt and I went on a family vacation with the Gillespie side to Cincinnati. We had a lot of fun and are finally showing some pictures. I know its been awhile since I posted some pictures, but I've been kinda busy. We had to wake up pretty early to be in Indy by 11 our time.

The bright side to waking up early was the pretty sunrise with fog.

 Ready to head to Cincinnati!

When we first got to Cincinnati we headed to the aquarium.

I thought this jellyfish looked awesome in pictures.

 Checking out some sharks.

Curt and I roomed with Kevin, Bonnie, Jasper, and Carter so we got some nephew time in. :)

Carter obviously likes playing with our faces.

The next day we visited the Creation Museum. It was a very interesting museum to see. I recommend it.
Jasper really likes coffee. I think he gets that from Bonnie.

Family picture in the garden. This garden is part of the creation museum as well. They even had a petting zoo!

Matt pretending he is 12 years or younger. If you go to the Creation Museum I don't recommend doing this. A security guard may come talk to you about it.

Curt was in charge of watching Carter while everyone else was getting ready. I think he did a good job. By the end of the trip Carter preferred Curt over me!

He is just so cute.

The last day we were there we went to the zoo. I was actually pretty impressed with this zoo. It was a fun day for everyone.
They don't have many cages. Most exhibits had glass so you could actually look at the animals without the bars from the cages.

Jasper enjoyed looking at all the animals.

Goofing around in the petting zoo area.

 Group shot!

I got to feed a giraffe. This was so much fun! The thing that surprised me was their tongues are like cat tongues. They have that rough, kind of like sandpaper feeling.

I also feed a bird. I also fed goats while we were there. I'm up for feeding any animal as long as it won't bite me. :D

Of course I had to get a picture of my favorite animals.

Overall we had a lot of fun seeing different sites in and around Cincinnati. It was fun to hang out with my family and nephews. I'm glad we take these vacations every year or so.
