Curt's birthday gift from me was a weekend getaway in Chicago. To top it off I got us tickets to a Cub's game and tickets for a tour of Wrigley Field. We started our vacation (and the 4th of July) at Wrigley Field for our tour. It was awesome! We will definitely take more tours of ball parks in the future.
As we drove into Chicago.
I happened to snap this picture of Navy Pier while we were passing it. Our next weekend in Chicago will include going here!
While waiting for our tour we hit up the Cub's Store across the street. Did you know they sell Cub's diapers?
Time for our tour!
The only thing we didn't get to do which would have been fun is go into the scoreboard.

Curt just can't get away from them.....
Sitting in the press box! It was pretty awesome to sit there for awhile. It can get up to 20 degrees cooler in this area because the wind blows straight into it. It felt good to us because of the heat!
We still haven't mastered the art of taking pictures of ourselves with the new camera. Here we were both looking at the screen not the lens. haha
This is looking toward the other press boxes.
The Cub's Clubhouse. It was kinda awesome to be able to go into their clubhouse.
We always love to see this flag.
Their batting cages are a pain to get to during a game so they rigged it in their clubhouse. They drop down that wood panel (which protects the flat screen behind it) then they lower the net and use a t-ball tee to practice.

This was a fun tour. I recommend people to do this. You will learn a lot. For instance, the first concession stand ever was at Wrigley Field and it is open at games. Curt and I have actually gone to this concession stand and didn't realize that it was the first one. Tickets for a tour are only $25 and if you go on non-game days (like we did) you get to go into the Cub's clubhouse. We both recommend going on a non-game day!
