Memorial Day Weekend

My birthday isn't till tomorrow but I got my gift yesterday. Curt and his parents went together and got me an awesome camera! This thing makes you look like a professional. I still don't know how everything works but I have a few pictures from my first day owning it. :)

Curt tried giving the camera a try.

Me reading the manual after I got my camera!

What a rainy day. We went to the in-laws land in brook before it started raining in hopes of taking pictures. I got a few but will go again on a sunnier day.

Curt and his dad still enjoyed the four wheelers.

It's monitor allows you to turn it towards you so you can still take pictures of yourself.

Even Buttercup gets her picture taken. She was kinda over it by this point. She is my practice for children because she only looks at you for like 2 seconds.

The Afternoon with the Pogue's

Mother's Day: Part 2

We hung out with the Pogue's in the afternoon of Mother's Day. We ate delicious food and just hung out for awhile.

Kristy making Grayson a bottle.

Everyone outside even though it was a little chilly.

Brandon making sure the food is being cooked properly. :)

One of the chef's grilling.

After dinner we passed out gifts.

Colton sitting still for longer than 10 seconds. haha

Uncle Boo and Colton look like they are having a serious talk.

Grayson being a cutie pie. This kid can cry (a lot) but he still makes everyone laugh. I love his personality.

The Morning with the Gillespie's

Mother's Day: Part 1

We started Mother's Day off by hanging with the Gillespie's in Lafayette. We went to Kev and Bonnie's church and then ate at Applebees. After that we hung out at Kev & Bonnie's house. We took some good family pictures!
We got a picture of mom with all of her kids/grandkids.

We also got a picture of Matt, Kev, and I with the grandkids.

Curt and I got an awesome picture!

Everyone was just hanging out.

I put him to sleep. :) So cute.

Uncle Matt as Jasper's chair. Jasper wanted to watch Ratatouille. I don't blame him. Its a great movie!

An Amazing Start to an Awesome Weekend

Curt and I, along with Isaac Imel, started our weekend off by going to a Brad Paisley concert. He is always fun to listen to/watch because he is an amazing guitar player. We had lawn seats so none of my pictures are fantastic. We still had fun which is what really matters.

My attempt at a decent photo of us. Curt's not a fan of photos so I only get one...maybe two chances at a good picture.

ee Brice and Chris Young opened for Brad. We were around 45 minutes late because traffic was ridiculous so we missed most of Lee Brice. I normally hate being late but this time I didn't care. Of the 3 songs we heard from Lee Brice I wasn't very impressed. He just isn't one of my favorite performers.

 The Main Event

Brad had some awesome backdrops and holograms. He sang Remind Me with a  hologram of Carrie Underwood. It looked really real...so real that the people in front of us believed she was really there.

The traffic leaving was terrible as well. Overall this is the one venue we have had the most issue with traffic. Luckily we no longer live close to Noblesville so we won't go to there very often. Even though it was freezing and we had a lot of traffic it was a great start to our weekend!

An Update On Our Lives

It's MAY...and summer is finally here. Now the problem is I don't want to go to work. I'd rather be outside soakin' up the sun. One of the best parts about May is my birthday! Really it just gives me something to look forward to because Curt normally decides to spoil me. I never complain about that. :) The weird part is I'm going to be 23. Where did 21 and 22 go? If life continues to speed up this way no wonder parents always talk about losing track of time. It really does happen.

Anyway I figured this post could catch you up on what Curt and I have been doing. Curt got a promotion in February. He got promoted to Shift Lead but now works 10pm to 8am for 7 days straight but then he gets an entire week off. He gets a vacation day every other week! This was really exciting at first because it gave us more time to be together. He previously would work until 7pm or 11pm. Now it's more like I don't see him for a week (or barely). You'd think his week off would be better but it takes half the week to get use to sleeping at night again. I just hope this doesn't last too long....you know its bad when you talk to the dog. On a brighter note I got a promotion as well. I am not an Account Manager. I have sooooo much work its crazy. I don't mind it because my days go super fast but sometimes its a little overwhelming. It must mean they trust me! PLUS I just got duel monitors at work which are huge. They are beyond amazing.

Curt and I are still loving Valparaiso. The little things are what I love the most. For instance, both times that I have gone to the BMV I got in right away. That's right...no more waiting at the BMV in Rensselaer for hours. Growing up in Rensselaer makes you think all BMV's are like that but their not! It's fantastic. I also have everything that I need within 10 minutes of my house. The downside its the KFC here sucks. The first time we thought it was a fluke because the only big issue was they took absolutely forever. The second time we went they were out of chicken. They were out off all grilled chicken and original chicken. All they had was extra crispy white meat. They were also out of biscuits. They are KFC how do they run out of biscuits or chicken?! Chicken is in your name....needless to say that we haven't been back.

That's all for now. Our lives are pretty boring so we don't have much going on.

Don't forget:

21 Days Till My Birthday (just a reminder)
