Dad P.'s Birthday!

Curt and I celebrated Dad P.'s birthday this week.

 We had yummy cake and ice cream after supper. Snickerdoodle ice cream is now one of my favorites. I recommend it to everyone.

I happened to snap this picture at the perfect time. He was excited to see me. :)

Life

I have been slacking on the blog posting lately. My life is just crazy busy plus Curt works a weird schedule. He works from 10pm-8am for 7 days in a row then gets the next week off. Its kinda cool because he gets a vacation every other week but its so hard to get use to that schedule. Its just weird to not have your husband sleeping next to you for a week. Anyway I thought I'd share some random pictures that I found on my camera from our apartment. The first four is from back in January. Kristy, Colton, and Grayson visited us.

Easter with the Pogue's

Time for pictures of Easter with the Pogue side. After putting these pictures on my computer I realized they are all of my nephews. I happened to catch others in the pictures as well though! :)

Our Easter weekend was packed full but it was fun! 

Gillespie Easter

Saturday was Easter with the Gillespie side of the family. I finally got to see Carter...he is so cute!

Another good holiday passed. The next one (Memorial Day) may be one of the best holidays ever. The reasoning is because I was born on this holiday! This year my birthday isn't on the holiday but its the day after. YAY! :)

Colton's Egg Coloring Party

Our weekend started out by coloring Easter eggs with the Pogue's.

 Egg coloring! I stumbled across an egg coloring kit that resulted in marbled eggs. You don't have to buy a special kit. Just add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the dye. The oil makes it so the dye doesn't stick to the entire egg. Keep putting in colors until it is completely covered! So cool....I recommend mixing the dye before you put the egg in so the oil mixes with the water.

 Colton had a blast running around in circles after we colored eggs.
