Honeymoon Video

I took my video camera on our honeymoon so I could make a video about it. I did this for one of our family vacations and everyone loved it. The only difference was for our family vacation I put pictures in it too. I didn't for this video because I figured no one wanted to watch a 5 minute video. Sorry about the shakiness and quality. The quality is mostly Blogger's fault. I had to compress the video and it got very pix-elated. I'm still hoping for a upgrade for my camera sometime in the near future though! I don't recommend viewing this in full screen because of the quality...just a tip!

Our Home

I finally have pictures of our place! I know I have been slacking but at least I finally got around to it. For those of you who don't know, we live in Valparaiso. We have only been here for a month and a half but we still like it. It's an awesome town. Anyway, on to the pictures.

 Living Room

Here is a picture of our living room. The door to our apartment would be to the right on this side of the black chair. Those curtains lead to a porch. I don't have a picture of it because it was too cold to go outside and take a picture. It is really big for a second floor balcony though.

Here is our couch area.

The other side of the room. We have plans to buy a entertainment stand and clean up this area but right now we are okay with it. Yes on that bookcase we do have a ton of DVD's but we are never bored at home this way.

 

Dining Room

Here is our dining room area. This was one reason that we chose this apartment. It was nice to have this area and it makes our living room feel really big. 

Our cute shelves. I put this on here because shelves are extremely hard to hang and I felt that people should see our hard work. :)

Here is our pantry that I made and the doorway that leads to the kitchen.

Kitchen

 Here is our cute little kitchen looking in from the dining room. It's not as much space as I would like to have but I have enjoyed cooking in it. I am proud to say that I cook almost all our meals. We eat frozen pizza and frozen french fries on occasion and other than that its fresh foods! Tonight, for instance, is pork chops with sweet potato french fries.

 This is in the other corner of the room. They added countertop space instead of wasting it and putting nothing.

Bathroom #1

Here is our bathroom that is at the end of the hall on the left.

Bedroom, Closet & Bathroom #2

 This is what you see right when you walk into our bedroom. Since I have taken this picture (Saturday morning) we got new bedside tables from Kristy so this picture is already old. haha

This is the armoire that Kev & Bonnie gave to us. Its perfect for our bedroom tv.

 Here is the other view of our bedroom. That hallway with the doors has closet space on both sides.

 This is our closet (which is AWESOME). Curt's is on the right and mine is on the left. The second bathroom is at the end of the hall. Its pretty nice to have this bathroom connected to our bedroom.

Lastly, here is the sink area of the second bathroom. If you remember my Facebook post about Curt's Bible verse this is the bathroom he has claimed as his.

Well now time to watch The Bachelor with my wonderful husband! He is awesome for letting me watch it live. :)

Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day was our first one as a married couple. Curt had to work from 4pm to 11pm on Valentine's Day but we went out yesterday to celebrate. On the 14th we exchanged gifts. I set mine out for him in the morning.

As you can see I did this because I knew he would want to play his new game. I'm not sure if he had time to play it though because he drove to La Porte and ate lunch with me. When I arrived at work I was very into my work when some guy walked in and asked if there was a Kendra Pogue. Curt being the sweety that he is had flowers delivered. :)

 When I got home from work I had more gifts waiting for me!

He got me chocolates (of course - thankfully) and a stuffed bear couple. We always say love you & love you more so he thought the bear was perfect for us. I'd have to agree. My favorite part was the card. He always writes the best cards. 

As for our night out we went to dinner and a movie.

We went to Chili's for dinner, of course. Plus we had a gift card (our last one - not good) which makes it even better. I tried their steak fajita's this time and they are fantastic! I definitely recommend these if you like that sort of thing.

The movie that we saw was Beautiful Creatures. This movie was actually pretty good. I wasn't sure what to expect really but it definitely ended up worth watching. If you have never seen a preview for this movie here is a little description of it.

A supernatural love story set in the South which tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan, a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena, a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town. The film is based on the first novel in the best-selling series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

Overall last night was very fun. It was nice to just go out on a relaxed date. We hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day as well!!

Wedding Photos!

I know it has been like two weeks but who knew when you got married, moved to a new town, and started a new job you feel like your always busy. I'm sure many of you really knew that. Good news is our wedding pictures are in! I put some on Facebook but I figured I'd post some on here as well.

 I LOVED our flowers. I knew I wanted something like this but Ron Jordan made it perfect! Its hard to explain what you picture in my head. Luckily I've known him my whole life and trusted him to understand me.

The amazing shoes. I love these shoes. The best part was they were $17 and I will definitely wear them again. I may even wear them this Friday when Curt takes me out for Valentine's Day. :)

Curt and Isaac serenaded me with such a cute song. I can't wait to get the video so I can hear it again.

The guys. From what I hear they had a lot of fun taking pictures. No matter what they say its evident in these pictures.

It is so weird to think we have been married for a month and a half. It is great! I think we use to bicker before we got married because we never saw each other. I'm sure it will start again eventually but we will figure that out when we get there.

P.S. I plan to post pictures of our place this weekend (after it gets picked up)!
